With the Boon & Bliss App, users can create, select, purchase and redeem Gifts, as described in our General Terms & Conditions. When using our website and the Boon & Bliss App, Boon & Bliss B.V. processes personal data. Because your privacy matters to us, we would like to clarify our policy.

Personal data

Boon & Bliss b.v. processes personal data that you provide by using our services and / or by submitting information to us.

To be able to use the App, you need to log in with a Facebook or Gmail account. By using our service, you consent to process the following data:

Your name, profile picture and date of birth are used to set up your Boon & Bliss user profile. If you are under 16 years of age, please ensure that you have parental consent to use our App.

We use your email address to send order confirmations and, provided you have given permission, to send you newsletters and other messages.

We will ask you for access to your contacts, to improve your user user experience - for example, to indicate a recipient for your next gift quickly and easily. The contact details of your account are not visible to other users.

When you purchase or redeem a gift, we will process your bank account details to execute the transaction through a certified payment service provider. Your bank account details will be stored to enable express-checkouts for future transactions.

During the use of our Services, we also collect information that you may not deliberately provide, but which helps us to improve your user experience on our website and in the Boon & Bliss App:

Within our App, you can use the option to personalize a Gift with, among other things, a video message, a picture or another personal message. If you make use of the personal message, Boon & Bliss processes the personal data that you provide through this message exclusively for the purpose of delivering your personal message to the recipient.

Sharing of personal data with third parties

Boon & Bliss b.v. does not sell your personal data to third parties and will only provide them to others if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation.

With any third party that processes your data on our behalf, a processor agreement is in place to ensure the security and confidentiality of your data. Boon & Bliss b.v. remains responsible for these processing operations.

We are required by law to keep and provide certain information to other organizations. This applies for example to any transaction details, for accountancy purposes and for tax authorities. Furthermore, we may be required to provide information to authorities in the case of a court order or judgment, or in the case of (a suspicion of) fraud or theft. Such information includes your IP-address, email address, bank account number and the amount you have spent or received as Gifts through our App.

Boon & Bliss b.v. does not store your personal data longer than necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected. We adhere to the legal storage periods.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

Boon & Bliss b.v. uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit a website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and for your user experience. They ensure that the website works properly and that it remembers, for example, your preferences, and we can optimize our website by understanding how you use it. You can opt out of all cookies by setting your internet browser to prevent it from storing cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information previously saved via the settings of your browser.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by our company and you have the right to data portability. That means you can request to send the personal information we have collected from you in a computer file to you, or to an organization authorized by you.

If you want to delete your data, simply go to the Contact Us tab in the app and send the "Delete my data" message with the form. You can also request to delete your data via "Contact us form" on the website by adding your email address to your request. Please mind that Boon & Bliss has a regulatory obligation to store your data for 10 years for the financial transactions related to your dreams. This data cannot be removed. The data on dreams and drafts without transactions and your account will be deleted in 30 days after your request.

If you want to use your right to objection and / or your right to data portability , or if you have other questions or comments about data processing, please send an email with the title Privacy Request including a detailed request to In order to ensure that the request has been made by you, we kindly ask you to enclose a copy of your identity document with the request as an attachment. To prevent leakage of personal data, do make sure that your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), your passport number and your Citizen Service Number (BSN) are blacked out, in order to protect your privacy. You can of course send your request by post as well. Boon & Bliss b.v. will respond to your request as soon as possible. Boon & Bliss b.v. also wishes to point out that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Security of personal data

Boon & Bliss b.v. takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or that there are indications of abuse, please send an email with the title Privacy Infringement including a detailed description to .
